Introduction

Hi there! I’m Ollie. Currently employed as a Production Designer at Attensi, I support the development of gamified training simulations by creating in-game visuals and launch material, and leading the simulation & content design in important client projects.

I have a background in programming, having recieved a First-Class Honours in Computer Game Applications Development at Abertay University - but ultimately realised game design is my passion.

I like to consider myself a jack-of-all-trades in a team, having the creative and critical mindset of a designer, and solid problem solving and technical understanding from my background in programming. If I could choose a specialisation, I would be interested in level design and gameplay mechanic design.

Why Games?

I’m a huge fan of all forms of videogames, but I’m especially passionate about games that are immersive and atmospheric, that place you in the world and give you the agency to choose how you play. To me, the best games take over your mind, blurring the reality beyond the bounds of your screen, transporting you to otherworldly places and extraordinary experiences.

Some of my favourite games include:

  • Dishonored

  • Hades

  • Marvel's Spider-Man

  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Game Development and Skillset

I’m enthusiastic about every aspect of game development from design to programming, art, and music. I code primarily in C++ and C# and have particularly enjoyed assuming the role of designer in several projects. I’ve also created 2D/3D art assets and some music for games.

I especially enjoy the energy of working collaboratively within a team but am also keen to keep developing solo projects. I've received overwhelmingly positive supervisor and peer reviews.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work and please do contact me with any enquiries.
